Western Communities Foundation donation

To express their appreciation and demonstrate their support for the western communities where we live and work, Western Financial Group founded the non-profit Western Communities Foundation in 2002

The mission of the Western Communities Foundation is to give back to the communities that we live and work in as well as promote pride in their employees through their involvement in a variety of charitable programs focused on public health, public housing, education and recreation.

One of the Western Communities Foundation’s primary fundraising programs is:

Community Infrastructure Grants 

Each year, the Western Communities Foundation awards a series of $5,000 infrastructure grants to support community projects identified by Western staff.

The Community Infrastructure Grant program is designed to enable a branch to apply to support a major community infrastructure project for renovation or construction of a community’s publicly owned asset (arena, park, library, community hall, pool, etc.). 

On January 23, 2018, the Lions Club of Vulcan was presented with the 2018 $5,000 Western Communities Foundation Grant.
